Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Classic banana bread with chocolate chips, really the only acceptable way to have it.
Ingredients
2 cups All-purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
3 Ripe Bananas
1 tablespoon Milk
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
0.5 cup Softened Unsalted Butter
0.5 cup White Sugar
0.5 cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325F
Grease a 9x5" loaf pan with some butter
Get 3 bowls out - Large, medium, and small
Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in the large bowl
Beat the butter and sugar together in the medium bowl until it's well mixed, light and fluffy
Mix the eggs into the butter/sugar bowl
Mash the bananas in the small bowl
Mix the milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla into the banana bowl
Mix the banana bowl into the butter bowl
Mix the liquid bowl into the solid bowl
Mix in the chocolate chips (Note: Pure semisweet chips are a good default, but can easily swap out different chips)
Pour the batter into the loaf pan
Bake in the oven for 60-70 minutes; it's done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for ~10 minutes after baking, then move to a wire rack
